Terms of Service
These terms cover what we do for you, what we need from you, and how billing works. We've written them plainly so there are no surprises later — the whole point is that you know exactly what you're getting before you pay for anything.
Wevdotcom is a website design and management service operated by Juan Vasquez.
How to reach us
For anything at all — questions before you sign up, update requests, billing, or cancellation — email support@wevdot.com and a real person will get back to you.
What we do
We design, build, host, and maintain websites for small businesses. You don't need technical knowledge and you don't need to manage anything — we handle the domain, hosting, SSL certificate, backups, and updates on your behalf. Your only responsibility is telling us what your business does and paying the monthly fee.
The free preview
Before you pay anything, we build you a preview of what your site could look like. This is free and carries no obligation.
- You owe nothing for the preview and are never required to move forward.
- You see the actual site before any money changes hands. If you don't like it, you simply don't continue — and you've paid nothing.
- The preview remains our property until you choose a plan and pay the setup fee.
- We may take the preview down if you decide not to move forward.
- Preview turnaround is typically 24 to 48 hours. That's our target, not a guarantee.
Plans and pricing
Every plan has two parts: a one-time setup fee that covers building your site, and a recurring monthly Website Care Plan fee that keeps it online and maintained.
- Starter — $249 setup, then $179/month
- Business Growth — $499 setup, then $349/month
- Professional — $899 setup, then $549/month
Prices are in US dollars. We may change our pricing for new clients at any time. If we change the price of a plan you're already on, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.
What your price includes
The setup fee and monthly Care Plan price you're quoted are the full price of your package. They cover the standard technical costs of running your website, including:
- Your domain registration and renewal
- Hosting and your SSL certificate
- The software, APIs, and standard third-party services your site depends on
- Backups, security updates, and ongoing maintenance
We don't pass routine technical costs on to you. You pay the advertised setup fee and the advertised monthly price — that's it.
The only situation where you'd pay more is if you ask us for major new development that falls outside your plan, described below. In that case we quote you a price first and only begin once you've approved it.
How billing works
You approve your site first, then you pay. Here's the sequence from there.
Each monthly payment pays for the period ahead, not the period behind. You'll receive an email before each renewal and a receipt after each successful payment.
What's included each month
Every plan includes hosting, domain management, SSL, regular backups, security and software updates, and support by email at support@wevdot.com.
Website update requests are included as follows:
- Starter — up to 3 update requests per month
- Business Growth — unlimited update requests
- Professional — unlimited update requests
Unused Starter requests don't roll over to the next month.
What "unlimited" means
Unlimited means exactly that: ask us for changes to your website as often as you need, and we'll take care of them in the order they come in. That covers the normal work of keeping a site current — updating text, prices, and hours, swapping photos, adding or removing a service, seasonal changes, promotions, design tweaks, and general content and layout updates.
This applies to the website we built and maintain for you. Building something genuinely new is a different kind of project — a second website, a complete redesign from scratch, a custom application, or major new functionality like online ordering, booking systems, or customer logins. Work like that is quoted separately, and we'll always give you the price and get your approval before starting. We'll never do it and then send you a bill.
Turnaround
We aim to complete routine update requests within 1–2 business days. Initial site builds typically take 1–3 days once we have what we need from you. These are targets we work hard to hit, not contractual guarantees — occasionally something takes longer, and we'll tell you when it does.
What we need from you
We keep this minimal on purpose, but there are a few things only you can provide:
- Accurate information about your business — services, prices, hours
- Your logo, if you have one
- Responses when we ask you a question, so your project doesn't stall
You confirm that any content you give us — logos, photos, menus, text — is either yours or something you have permission to use. If a third party claims we've infringed their rights because of content you supplied, that's on you, not us.
Who owns your website
Once you've paid your setup fee, the website we created for your business is yours. That includes the design, layout, written content, images, and structure of your site — everything made specifically for you.
What stays ours is the general-purpose material we use across every client: our reusable code and components, templates, internal tools, and the processes and systems we've built to make and run websites. None of that is specific to your business, and keeping it is what lets us work quickly and price the way we do.
If you ever leave, you can ask for a copy of your website files and we'll provide them.
Your domain
If you already own a domain, it stays yours. We simply point it at your site.
If we register a domain for you, we manage it on your behalf while you're on a plan — that's part of not having to deal with technical work.
If your account is fully paid and you'd like the domain in your own name, just ask. We'll transfer it to you or to whatever provider you choose, whether or not you're staying with us. Domain transfers follow the registrar's own rules and timelines, which are outside our control.
If a payment fails
Cards expire, banks decline things, life happens. We don't take your site down the moment a payment fails.
- If a monthly payment fails, your site stays online for a 10-day grace period while we retry the payment and get in touch with you.
- If the payment still hasn't cleared at the end of those 10 days, we may temporarily suspend your site — it comes offline, but nothing is deleted. We keep your site and its content.
- You can restore it whenever you're ready. Bring the account current and we'll put your site back online, usually the same day. You won't be charged a second setup fee.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time by emailing support@wevdot.com. No notice period, no cancellation fee, no phone call where we try to talk you out of it.
Here's exactly what happens when you cancel:
- Your monthly service ends at the end of the period you've already paid for. Nothing is cut off early.
- Your site stays online through the rest of that paid period.
- Hosting ends when the paid period does, and your site comes offline at that point.
- Your website isn't deleted. We keep it. If you want to come back later, resume the monthly plan and we'll put it back online — with no new setup fee.
- You can request a copy of your website files at any time, and we'll send them to you.
- Your domain is available to you. If your account is fully paid, ask and we'll transfer it to you or your chosen provider.
- Support ends when your plan does, since support is part of the Care Plan.
Refunds
Our refund policy follows directly from how we work: we build first, you review, and you pay only once you're happy with what you see.
- Setup fee. You see your finished site before you pay a cent. Because approval comes first, the setup fee isn't refundable once paid. If you don't like what we built, you simply don't move forward — and you owe nothing.
- Monthly Care Plan payments. Each monthly payment covers the 30 days ahead. If you cancel, we don't refund the current month — but you keep full service through the end of it. Nothing is cut short.
- If we end your service. If we discontinue service for the reasons described below, we refund any prepaid period you haven't used.
What we won't do
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service for sites involving illegal activity, fraud or deceptive schemes, adult content, hate speech, harassment, or anything that puts our hosting accounts at risk. If we discontinue service for these reasons, we'll refund the unused portion of any period you've already paid for.
Uptime and things outside our control
We use established hosting providers and your site should be available essentially all the time. That said, we don't control the internet. Outages at our hosting provider, domain registrar, or payment processor can affect your site, and we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
We're also not responsible for your search engine rankings. We build sites following current best practices, but Google decides what Google decides.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business.
This is standard for services at this price point. We're a small business serving small businesses, and neither of us can absorb unlimited risk.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make a change that materially affects existing clients, we'll email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use our service after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States.
This page describes how we work with our clients. It isn't legal advice, and we're not a law firm.
