Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Wevdotcom collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We've written it in plain language rather than legalese, because you should actually be able to read it.

Wevdotcom is a website design and management service operated by Juan Vasquez. You can reach us any time at support@wevdot.com.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you fill out the contact form on this site, we collect what you type into it:

• Your name and business name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• The type of business you run and which plan you're interested in
• Anything you write in the notes field
• Any photos you choose to upload

None of this is required to browse the site. You only provide it if you choose to contact us.

Information collected automatically

This site uses two analytics tools that collect information about how visitors use it:

• Google Analytics records which pages you visit, how long you stay, roughly where you're located, what device and browser you're using, and how you found the site. It uses cookies to do this.
• Microsoft Clarity records how visitors interact with pages — where they click, how far they scroll, and mouse movement. Clarity creates session recordings and heatmaps from this. These recordings are a reconstruction of on-page behavior, not video of you or your screen outside this site.

Both tools collect this automatically when you visit. Neither is used to identify you personally, and we don't attempt to link analytics data to individual people.

Payment information

If you become a client and pay us, that payment is processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe — it never touches our systems and we never see or store it. We can see that a payment happened, the amount, and the name and email associated with it.

How we use it

We use the information you give us to respond to your inquiry, build a preview of your site, and — if you become a client — to build and maintain your website and bill you for it.

When you submit the contact form, you're asking us to get in touch, so we may reply by email, phone call, or text message about your inquiry. If you'd rather we only use one of those, say so in the notes field or tell us when we reach out, and we'll stick to it. Ask us to stop contacting you entirely and we will.

We use analytics data to understand which parts of the site work and which confuse people, so we can fix them.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We don't send marketing emails or texts to people who haven't asked for them.

Who else handles your data

Running this business means using a handful of third-party services. Each one handles a specific piece:

• EmailJS — delivers contact form submissions to our inbox
• Google Workspace — our email inbox, where your message lands
• Google Analytics — site traffic analytics
• Microsoft Clarity — on-page behavior analytics
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing
• Vercel — hosting for this site and for client sites

Each of these has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We've chosen established providers rather than obscure ones, but we don't control what they do internally.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for analytics — specifically Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels for ad retargeting.

If you'd rather not be tracked, you can block cookies in your browser settings, use your browser's private mode, or install the Google Analytics opt-out extension. The site works fine either way — nothing breaks if you block them.

How long we keep it

Contact form submissions stay in our email inbox indefinitely unless you ask us to delete them. Analytics data is retained according to Google's and Microsoft's default retention periods. Client billing records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete the information you've given us. Email support@wevdot.com and we'll remove it from our systems.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data — the right to access it, correct it, or have it deleted. If you want to exercise any of those, email us and we'll handle it. We won't make you jump through hoops.

Security

We use reputable providers with standard security practices, and we don't store payment information ourselves. That said, no method of transmitting data over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing clients will be communicated by email.
